COLOR MIXING WORKSHOP: Sunday, May 3rd (10:00 - 3:30)

Are you having trouble mixing just the right color?
Get as “hands-on” as possible as we mix a lot and learn about colors in this fun and informative workshop.
Topics include:
* How to mix the color you want.
* Mixing colors we can’t identify.
* Warm colors Vs Cool colors
* Understanding a color wheel,
* Understanding color choices for your palette.
* Color schemes
* Physics of color and light
Morning Session:
We will start off with Color Theory. This is an important starting point for everyone. The science of color mixing will give you the understanding of how to think about mixing colors you want.
Some FUN mixing exercises that strengthen the theories.
Mark will do a demonstration.
Afternoon Session:
Students will all work on mixing colors with help from Mark. We will be creating colors to match specific colors used in painting.
Students can also work on a small painting using a limited palette from a black and white reference wrapping up all the things learned during the day.
Supplies :
Bring the colors you use on a regular basis. ( acrylic or oils )
Palette paper or palette
Bring a palette knife that you can mix with
Brushes you have and use
8x10 canvas
Color wheel if you have one
Paper Towels
