animal anitcs:  CALL FOR ART NOW - February 23rd

EXHIBITION THEME & ELIGIBILITY:  

We are now accepting submissions for our March/April show ANIMAL ANTICS. Work must be recent, original and celebrate the glory of our planet’s creatures. Wild and domestic animal art pieces, including birds and insects, are eligible.

2D and 3D work is welcome and submission is open to experienced and emerging artists. No digital art please.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Open to artists in the NJ, NY and PA area. All medium considered - 2 and 3D. Work must be original and available for sale.

Email jpegs to southavenueartsgallery@gmail.com Limit 3 submissions: labeled name, title, medium, size and price. Notification and dates listed below. Please label “Animal Antics” in the subject line.

CALENDAR

Now through February 23rd: accepting emailed jpegs

February 26th:  Notification of accepted work.  All selections must be available for sale. All 2D work must be securely wired on the back (no sawtooth hangers)

March 2nd and 3rd:  Drop off during business hours - (Monday 12:30 - 9) (Tuesday 12:30 - 9)

Show: March 6th - April 30th

Friday, March 6th (7:00 – 9:00 pm): Artists’ Reception 

May 5th and 6th: Pick up of unsold work during gallery hours.  (Tuesday 2 - 6pm) (Wednesday 2 - 9pm) Include a prepaid addressed padded envelope or box for return shipping if you want your work returned by mail.

SALES & HANGING FEE

Accepted works will be considered for sale at the price indicated by the artist. If sold, 60% of the selling price will be paid to the artist. There is a $20 hanging fee for accepted work payable at drop off. A portion of sales/hanging fee from this show will be donated to the Plainfield Area Humane Society.

INSURANCE

Great care will be taken with all work, but artists are responsible for insuring their own pieces if they wish.  South Avenue Arts will not be responsible for any loss or damage to work while on the premises or in transit to or from the gallery. Artists are advised to obtain their own insurance.
