Alyssa Veca is a visual artist who lives in Westfield, New Jersey with her two sons and husband. Alyssa has completed two years of graduate studies in Visual Narrative at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. With an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Alyssa enjoys bringing opportunities for complex and analytical thinking to her art. Alyssa has completed additional studies in fine arts and children’s book illustration at the School of Visual Arts, Art Students League of New York, the Fashion Institute of Technology, Walter Cudnohufsky Studio, and most recently at South Avenue Arts in Garwood, New Jersey. Alyssa is inspired by the outdoor world and the magic of nature. Throughout her life, Alyssa has worked with children as a teacher, tutor, and mentor. Most recently, Alyssa has found an interest in process art and has been inspired by the Reggio Emilio way of teaching art to her three-year-old son.
